Our English lessons are based around a shared text, which is often linked to our Context for Learning for the term. In addition, the children are taught the specific skills of reading (Vocabulary, Inference, Prediction, Explanation, Retrieval and Summary) through a daily “Vipers” lesson. Each class uses Babcock No Nonsense for a weekly spelling activity, which is backed up by an online subscription to Spelling Frame. Click the link below to see our long term English plans.
